About a quarter of the total budget is dedicated to these infrastructure projects.
Education, healthcare, and agriculture are also major focus areas. Supporting education and youth empowerment remains a key priority. The government plans to distribute free tablets and smartphones to students, with an allocation of 2,374 crore rupees. Additionally, 400 crore rupees will be used to provide scooties to girl students, encouraging their mobility and safety.

The government has succeeded in reducing unemployment, which has declined to 2.24 percent. By maintaining fiscal discipline, the budget adheres to the 3 percent limit for the fiscal deficit, in line with the recommendations of the 16th Finance Commission. The state's debt-to-GSDP ratio is expected to decline further, reaching 23.1 percent in 2026-27, with a goal to reduce it below 20 percent in the medium term.
The budget also emphasizes new schemes and projects. A total of 43,565 crore rupees is allocated for new initiatives, with over 2 lakh crore rupees dedicated to new construction work. These investments aim to generate employment, stimulate economic activity, and promote growth across the state.
